Chrysanthemum care

Chrysanthemum care Anastasia includes the implementation of general recommendations. For abundant flowering, the plant needs regular watering. After watering, the land needs to be loosened or covered with mulch around the bush.

Moisture stagnation should not be allowed, since the chrysanthemum root system reacts negatively to high soil moisture, and decay processes can begin.

Chrysanthemum grows well in bright light, but is afraid of direct sunlight, which causes burns. For the winter, the plant is usually transferred to a room (cellar), but some subspecies can winter in a flower bed if there is a winter shelter.

To get large inflorescences, a few lateral shoots should be left on the chrysanthemum, and the rest should be cut off. Tall bushes need additional support.

For root dressing, organic matter (bird droppings, mullein) and mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus-potassium) are used.

Chrysanthemum is recommended to be replanted every three years. When transplanting, the bush can be divided into parts and used for reproduction. The plant also propagates by cuttings and seeds.
