Ingredients

For cutlets, we need:

  • a glass of lentils;
  • three small onions;
  • one carrot;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • pepper, salt;
  • dried parsley;
  • breadcrumbs (for rolling cutlets);
  • refined oil (for frying).

To make our cutlets beautiful and light, it is also better to take light lentils (for example, yellow). You can also add other spices if desired.

Cutlets from lentils - cooking step by step

So, since lentils are our main ingredient, we sort them out and rinse them well. This should be done in the evening to soak the beans overnight. Just fill them with cold water and leave them until morning. The next day, rinse the lentils again and pour into a deep bowl.

Now you can start cooking "minced lentils" for cutlets:

  1. Finely chop the onion.
  2. Fry it in a little oil until golden brown.
  3. Fry grated carrots in the same way.
  4. Pour the onions and carrots into a bowl of lentils, salt and pepper, add parsley or other spices.
  5. Finely chop the garlic with a knife and also send it to the beans.
  6. We mix.
  7. Grind lentils with spices in a blender or twist the workpiece through a meat grinder.
  8. Minced meat is ready, we begin to form cutlets. We wet our hands, just take and make round cakes from it.
  9. Sprinkle each cutlet or roll in breadcrumbs. This will give them a beautiful golden brown finish.

It remains only to heat the pan with oil and fry lentil cutlets on both sides for about 5 minutes. You can eat them both hot and cold and even without a side dish. Watering cutlets for loved ones sauce, you can happily eat them anyway.
