Assembling a barbecue installation from gas cylinders

barbecue from cylinders Many summer residents dream of installing a barbecue complex on their site, but making it out of brickwork takes a long time, and the cost of a modular installation is high. You can make a grill complex from three gas cylinders. On such grill it will be possible to cook meat and fish, as well as use it for cold smoking.

In order to make such a grill, you will need a grinder and a welding machine. First you need to carry out the preparatory work.

For safety reasons, it is necessary to empty the cylinders from the gasoline residues. To do this, unscrew gas taps from each container. Then the cylinders are filled with water. The container should stand for several days.

After all the gas has evaporated, work can be carried out. First, using a grinder, cut off the top of the cylinder to the weld.

It is best to cut off the cover 0.5 cm higher than the weld seam to avoid hitting the protective ring. Otherwise, you will need to spend a whole disc of the grinder to cut the cover.

Balloon marking

You need to make marks on the gas cylinder and shorten one of the containers by 25 cm. Thus, you will get a so-called "smoke generator". The rest of the cylinders are not shortened.

Lines are marked at a distance of 3 cm along the edges of the balloon in one plane. Then a lid is cut out of it along the marked lines. On the main cylinder and the future container for cold smoking, circles are marked for connecting three containers, one of which should be located vertically. Also outline the hole for the blower. Then circles are cut out along the lines with a grinder. The containers are welded together.

To provide support, you must use metal legs, for example, from a sewing machine. After welding all the tanks, you can start arranging the inside of the barbecue installation.

The device of the inner part of the cylinder

From the part of the cylinder that was cut off for the manufacture of the smoke generator, it is necessary to cut metal rings. They are needed to smoothly close the door.

Drainage holes are made inside each cylinder to drain fat and water. In the main grill, the drainage hole is covered with a valve made of a bolt.

To ensure the departments of cold and hot smoking, you need to carry out the final work:

  • screw the hooks into the vertical container;
  • make round holes in the main grill, and on the opposite side - triangular slots for skewers;
  • put a stainless steel mesh in each container;
  • insert a thermometer into the center of the main cylinder and container for cold smoking.

Then the grill can be decorated: covered with paint and decorated with wrought iron.
