DIY flower garden - creating contrast with flowers
If there is a nice square plot in the country, then you can make an adorable flower garden out of it with your own hands. The main thing is to distribute the plants in an original way, depending on their sizes and colors. Then it remains to listen only to your imagination.
Some make three-tiered flower beds and plant petunias or lobelias of all kinds of shades on them. Bright blooms of large or small caliber create an amazing fountain of colors. But at the foot of such a pyramid, a "reservoir" of living plants is placed.

First, it is worth deciding what the front garden will be. Many people like plain or monochrome options, others are delighted with contrasting compositions. Gardeners successfully combine two or more colors. Having decided on this, they divide the site into four zones. Alternatively, draw two lines diagonally. Do-it-yourself planted in such a flower garden:
- giant petunias "Mistral Pearly" pale pink addition, it was he who was at the peak of popularity last season (its official name is the color of ballet pointe shoes);
- cineraria in the form of a volumetric cloud;
- gazania with amazing flowers, painted with yellow and burgundy stripes;
- petunias "Supercascading Rose", which mesmerizing petals amaze with a rich, even acidic, raspberry shade.
Petunias of the same colors are placed in sectors that are opposite each other. It is advised to separate the flowering with cineraria bushes, which will subsequently replace wilted buds. At the same time, it is advisable to plant the last crop in the central zone, because between these varieties there is often a struggle for survival. Gazanias are placed along the perimeter, the majestic bushes of which bloom later than everyone else.
To create a carpet composition, large-colored petunias are planted at a distance of 25 cm.If you plant them closer, the result is contemplated much faster.
Creating a three-tiered miracle
The first step is to make three large boxes, similar to sandboxes. The size of each subsequent one is increased by 50 cm.With their help, a pyramid is built:
- Geraniums are planted at its top. Some people advise leaving it directly in the pot. Around it (in the corners) are placed the "Super Cascade Rose" petunias.
- The next tier consists of sky-blue lobelia and raspberry-colored geranium cuttings.
- At the base of the front garden will grow a variety of pale pink crane with purple lobelia. These bushes will begin to branch out, thereby covering the unsightly side of the boxes.
With such a planning of a flower garden with your own hands, you can achieve an amazingly contrasting picture. Yet the lion's share of success depends on how the crops take root in such a flower bed.
