We grow boxwood to decorate the summer cottage

decorating courtyards Boxwood is a beautiful southern plant that came to us from the Mediterranean. It is used to decorate courtyards, gardens, flower beds, parks and squares. Boxwood is very easy to cut, so you can create real masterpieces from it (balls, squares, etc.).

The plant propagates by cuttings. To do this, you need to cut off the young branches with a sharp garden knife, the place of the cut must be slightly powdered with a root stimulating drug. The cuttings are planted in a mixture of sand and sawdust, watered abundantly and covered with cans or plastic bottles to create a greenhouse effect. When the plant takes root, it can be planted in open ground, but this is not done for the winter, but in early spring. All the details on growing boxwood can be found in the video plot.

Hello, in early December 2017. I planted boxwood cuttings for rooting. I planted a temperature of 19.5 - 21 degrees in a greenhouse, I am lighting it up. Now on January 19, new leaves are actively being sent. On some cuttings, shoots with 4 - 5 leaves. In the lower part of some cuttings, yellowing of the leaves is observed.

The cuttings may be too hot or cramped, and then the leaves begin to turn yellow.
