Changing the water in the vase, watering the bush in the flowerpot - all this is not necessary. Canned inflorescences and even whole twigs retain almost their original appearance for a long time, depending on the method. All that is needed is to periodically clean them from dust. How to preserve fresh flowers - three popular ways

Conservation does not mean rolling plants into jars under a lid. Everything is much simpler: flowers are subject to processing with special means, however, available in every home. As a result, the bouquet remains almost as fresh as after cutting. It all depends on what you process the plants and which ones. Most flowering horticultural crops lend themselves well to conservation. For example, irises, hosta, peonies, camellia, gladioli remain fresh, gypsophila... You can also preserve whole branches of various shrubs. Shoots of barberry, dogwood, juniper retain their appearance and look beautiful in flower arrangements.

So, you can preserve flowers by processing them:

• hair spray;
• wax;
• glycerin.

Varnish treatment

The easiest way and, perhaps, the most affordable, because every woman has a varnish. Instead, take a strong hold product and simply spray generously onto the flowers, covering them with a thick ball of polish. It remains to let them dry well. To do this, hang the plants upside down and leave them in this position for about a week.

To keep the flowers preserved with varnish longer and not become fragile and brittle, remove excess moisture first. Put them in a box of silica gel or sand for 7 days.

Canning wax

Put the wax in a water bath, and while it melts, prepare a bucket of cold water. While holding the flower with long tweezers, dip it completely in the solution and immediately place it in water to harden the wax again. The plants will retain their shape and can be easily cleaned of dust with a brush.

To keep the flowers in wax longer, do not expose them to the sun.

Glycerin canning

Heat 2 parts soft water and dilute 1 part glycerin (sold in bottles in pharmacies) in them. While the solution is cooling, trim off the legs of the flowers, making a very sharpened oblique cut. Additionally, cut notches on it or knead it so that the solution is better absorbed. Pour the diluted glycerin into a vase, place the flowers as usual, and leave in a dark place for 3 weeks.During this time, they are saturated with glycerin, which will displace the liquid. The end of the canning process can be understood by the droplets on the tips of the leaves. Such flowers will stand for a long time in an empty vase or in dry sand.
