Pitted persimmon: an unusual garden at home

pitted persimmon Often, many feast on Asian berries and do not know that they can be grown at home. Pitted persimmon, of course, is inferior in characteristics to varietal specimens. Nevertheless, you can harvest from such a home exhibit in a few years, but only in your garden.

After the berries are eaten, the seeds are wrapped in a damp cotton swab, and then in toilet paper. Place the bundle in a warm (25-28 ° C) and dark place, where it is stored until planting. Some of them can hatch in 2-3 days.

Persimmon from seed turns into a refined sprout

During the stratification process, the planting material is constantly monitored. After six days, a small claw like a cat's claw forms on the grain. Seeds are planted in disposable cups with pre-prepared soil. For a land substrate, take in equal parts:

  • humus;
  • sawdust (or up to 30% peat);
  • sand.

After which it is thoroughly moistened so that it is completely wet. Use a toothpick to make a deep hole. The bone is placed vertically, but so that the process is directed downward. It is from it that the root system will begin to develop. Then sprinkle everything with soil. Then cover the container with either a film or a plastic bag. Rubber bands fix the material. So, darkness and warmth will be her companion until the first shoots appear.

Start planting from small pots. With each subsequent transplant, the diameter of the container is increased by 3 or 4 cm more than the previous one. It is carried out when three independent petals appear. At the same time, it is important to make holes at the bottom.

We create heavenly conditions

Green sprouts indicate that it is time to remove the mini-label and transfer the seedling to the light. Now for such persimmon a tropical microclimate is necessary from the bone. At the same time, it cannot be placed near the battery, otherwise the earth will constantly dry out. As a result, the roots will begin to "suffocate". Still, some argue that culture thrives on the windowsill. This can happen because the level of humidity in different apartments / houses is purely individual.

Water the seedlings every day, but so that the soil is not silted up. In this case, use only warm water. The tree will have a spherical, dense crown if the top is pinched.

The upper shell of the seed is so dense that you have to help the sprout to remove it. To do this, take ordinary tweezers and a toothpick, and then carefully separate the peel from the leaves.

Spraying the foliage is recommended daily. After 1.5-2 months after planting, top dressing can be applied. For persimmon grown from stone, a water solution of ash is suitable: 1 tbsp. l. powder is diluted with a liter of boiling water. After the liquid has cooled, its volume is brought to 1.5 liters. And then a series of transplants follows.
