To protect the garden in the spring, we prepare preparations in the fall

spring garden treatment The appearance of the first buds indicates that spring is close, which means that all pests and diseases are waking up in the garden. Therefore, you need to prepare a universal preparation for your plantations. Experts recommend purchasing several products in the fall / winter. But what and in what quantity should be prepared?

A strategic stockpile of biological and chemical substances should not be stockpiled. They have the ability to quickly deteriorate, losing their effectiveness.

Before there, how to leave for the winter pests lay eggs under the bark of plants. At the same time, disease-causing spores do not disappear anywhere from the garden, but simply go into a state of suspended animation. Consequently, in the spring they will “resurrect” and with renewed vigor they will fulfill their mission.

The main stage of preparation begins with memories. The farmer should analyze what diseases and pests disturbed the trees in the past season.

It should be understood that a set of harmful organisms in a certain area is formed in 7-8 years. Over such a long period, they either progress or decrease in intensity. Therefore, at the beginning of spring, the gardener will need:

  1. Bordeaux mixture (3%). The package contains two sachets: copper sulfate and lime. Each drug is quenched with water according to the instructions. Then the vitriol solution is carefully poured into the limestone milk in a thin stream.
  2. "Decis". Woody plants are treated with protective agents of this type so that they are not affected by sucking and gnawing insects. The powder is diluted in this way: 1 g of the mixture is needed for 10 liters of liquid.
  3. Horus. It is recommended to use it already at a temperature of + 6 ° C in a ratio of 3 g per bucket of water (15 g package). With such a solution, fruit trees are not afraid of: scab, moniliosis or powdery mildew.
  4. Garden putty. In March and April, farmers often prune their "wards". The resulting cut serves as a kind of door for the entry of pests and diseases. Therefore, the wound is covered up if it is more than 2 cm in diameter.

The processing of the sections is carried out not immediately after the "haircut", but after an hour, when the wood dries up a little.

The final stage of spring work will be whitewashing. It will protect the tree bark from burns and cracking. The mixture contains white clay and lime. Substances are diluted with water and allowed to infuse a little.

All the mentioned preparations diverge in such quantity: for a young seedling you need 1.5 liters of solution, and for adult specimens - 5 liters. This information will help you make the necessary blanks.
