Professional soil mixes

ready-made soil mixtures For gardeners who are engaged in the cultivation and sale of seedlings of cultivated plants and flowers, a balanced, fertile soil in large volumes is necessary. In gardening stores, you can buy low-quality soil, which will negatively affect the plants.

In order to grow a large number of seedlings, you can purchase branded soil mixtures, which are widely used in greenhouses. The producers of these potting mixes supply their products to the international market in bulk. Therefore, soil mixtures are purchased in bags with a volume of 200 liters or more.

If you grow seedlings of flowers and cultivated plants for planting only on your site, then it is impractical to buy a bag of 200 liters.

Try to find someone who uses professional potting soil for sale. The grower may not use up all of the soil and will be happy to retail the remainder.

Using professional ground mixes

The professional soil mixtures contain special fertilizers that help the seedlings gain strength to grow and increase their immunity to fungal diseases. The mixture is made from more than ten components. Manufacturers do not disclose the secrets of mixing.

Professional soil substrates include:

  • Klasmann TS1;
  • Laflora KKS-1;
  • Kekkila White;
  • Terracult;

In order to grow high-quality seedlings of cultivated plants in them, garden perlite or vermiculite must be added to the substrate.

Add these components only if growing seedlings on surface irrigation. If the seedlings are on wick irrigation, you cannot add vermiculite.

All professional soil mixtures are interchangeable, so if you do not find soil from Laflora, you can replace it with soil from the German company Klasmann.

Drawing up a universal potting mix for flowers

If you grow flower seedlings, then you can use not only professional soil. For petuniasfor example, a mixture of neutral soil and professional substrate in equal proportions is perfect. A little perlite is added to the mixture to loosen the soil. In order to "drive out" bulbous plants, the proportion of neutral soil in the mixture is reduced.

Water the plants once a week. Water is poured into a tray or superficially. There is no need to fertilize seedlings, since all trace elements and minerals are contained in the professional soil.
