Wheat sprouts: how to germinate and how much to use
The whole process of "extraction" of nutrients will take you no more than 2 days. The most important thing is to find the right wheat for germination. Such cereal can often be found in supermarkets, given the modern fashion for healthy eating. The packaging usually says “for germination”.
Be sure to sort and rinse the grains. Throw away everything that has surfaced, such wheat will not germinate, soak the rest. Place the seeds in a plate and fill with water so that it is only a couple of centimeters on top. Now leave them overnight, covered with a cloth. Change the water in the morning, but before that, line the bottom of the plate with a clean cloth and top with the washed wheat. Cover with a second piece of cloth again and leave in a warm place until the next morning.
The room temperature should be around 20 ° C warm. You will see the first sprouts within a day from the moment of soaking. Completely all the seeds germinate in no more than two days. Moreover, the maximum amount of vitamins and minerals is contained in sprouts no more than 2 cm long.
Wheat sprouts can and should be eaten raw or added to salads. Just do not bake or fry them, because then the nutrients will be lost. And be sure to chew well or grind in a blender. The daily norm is no more than 100 g, which must be consumed in the morning. You can eat them at lunchtime or divide them into two meals. However, you cannot eat seedlings at night, since they are heavy on the stomach.
