Growing cabbage seedlings is somewhat different from tomatoes and peppers. One month is enough for the seedlings to get stronger, while others spend almost 2 months in temporary pots and in greenhouse conditions. It should also be borne in mind that, despite the rather high cold resistance, some varieties of this culture prefer a higher temperature, respectively, they will stay in the greenhouse longer.

When to sow white cabbage for seedlings?
White cabbage, depending on the time and rate of ripening of the crop, it is ready for planting on the garden bed in one to two months. Based on this, it is recommended to plant seeds for seedlings at the following times:
- early varieties - in mid-February - early March;
- medium varieties - from early to mid-March;
- late-ripening cabbage - from early to mid-April.
When to sow cauliflower seedlings?
Seedling cauliflower it will completely get stronger and will be ready for transplantation to a permanent place in a month and a half from the moment of sowing, which means that you can start growing seedlings:
- in the first decade of March - for early maturing varieties;
- in the first decade of April - for mid-season species;
- from mid-May - for late-ripening cabbage.
Cauliflower is demanding on temperature and forms an ovary only if it is kept in the 16 to 25 degrees Celsius range. A lower or higher temperature for growing crops leads to loss of yield and "hollow" bushes.
When to sow broccoli seedlings?
Saplings broccoli are formed quite quickly and in a month they are ready to "move" to a permanent place of residence. You can sow seeds for seedlings in two or even three passes, keeping an interval of 2 weeks between crops. Having started growing seedlings in mid-March, it is permissible to sow the last batch at the end of May in order to ensure a good harvest.
When to sow Chinese cabbage and kohlrabi for seedlings?
Kohlrabi and Peking are some of the fastest types of cabbage. They need only three months to fully ripen, and the seedlings will get stronger in three to four weeks after sowing. You should start growing seedlings from the second decade of March.
When planning to sow cabbage for seedlings on your own, it is necessary to carefully study the manufacturer's recommendations regarding the sowing time, and also take into account the ripening period of the heads of cabbage and local climatic conditions.
