The green path is an excellent decoration for a summer cottage. To make such a path, it is necessary to level the site, dig up the ground, lay tiles and sow lawn grass. For the green path, you can use both sowing and roll lawn. In a roll lawn cut holes for stepping tiles.

Digging and leveling the site

To equip the green path, you need to dig the soil onto the bayonet of the shovel. The sod that you dig out of the soil can be laid in a sunny place with the root system up, the sod will rot, and you get excellent compost. The next step in the arrangement of the track is the alignment of the site.

Since during the digging you removed the sod from the site, the formed depression will have to be covered with several buckets of soil. Be sure to use the level when adding land.

A rake and a construction roller are used to level the surface. Using a rake, the area where the track will pass is leveled, and the resulting soil crumb is tamped with the help of a roller. After the first rolling, unevenness of the ground will be noticeable, which must again be removed with a rake. The surface is then compacted again with a construction roller. This process is repeated until the area is completely flat.

Step plates and lawn seeding

After the plot is leveled, it is necessary to dig holes for the slabs and sow the lawn. In order to have the same distance between the plates, it is necessary to use a construction tape. First, the length of the entire track is measured, and then the length of each tile to calculate the required number of tiles. After the first two tiles are dug into the ground, measure the distance between them. With the help of a tape measure and a peg, recesses are made in the ground at the same distance from each other: "tile length" + "distance between them". Tiles are laid out on these recesses.

Between the stepping plates and across the entire area, the paths are sown lawn... Sprinkle the seeds with earth. The lawn needs to be watered every day. After 10 days, lawn grass with a height of 3 to 5 cm will appear, and watering can be done every three days. Along such a path, you can sow not only a lawn, but also border flowers.
