Rabbit keeping and breeding technology
Livestock has been developing since the days of nomadic tribes. This craft is divided into several large branches:

There are two main technologies for keeping rabbits: in cages (DIY rabbit cage) and in earthen pits. Each type of content has its own advantages and disadvantages. Let's consider them in more detail.
Keeping rabbits in pits
Keeping in pits is a method that is as close as possible to natural conditions and the natural habitat of rabbits. When kept in pits, animals will be active. Constant movement promotes the burning of fat cells and the formation of muscle fibers.

Keeping in the pit makes it easier to clean the rabbit enclosure. Change the grass bedding every six months. A common feeder and drinker are installed in the pit, which saves the farmer's time.
The feeding process for rabbits can be automated electronically. Then the animals will eat food at a certain time, which will increase their weight gain and have a positive effect on the health of the rabbits.
Among the disadvantages of the pit content, one can note a high probability of infection with bactericidal diseases, for example, coccidiosis, as well as uncontrolled reproduction.
Keeping rabbits in cages
Keeping rabbits apart will help prevent unplanned mating and, as a result, keep the breed clean. With cage keeping, you can control the condition of a pregnant female, balance her diet, easily arrange a quarantine zone and cure the herd of diseases.
It is very important to maintain dim lighting around the clock in cages. Then the feed intake of the rabbits will increase. The cages should be cleaned once a week. It is advisable to let the rabbits out into the common room so that the animals move.
Of the disadvantages of the cellular content, one can single out the fact that each colic should have a separate drinker and feeder. Keeping cages takes much longer than maintaining a rabbit pit.
