How ravens differ from ravens

How to get rid of crows in the garden

Fruit plantings can be protected with bird nets sold at horticultural centers. A ten centimeter grid works best. It keeps large crows, but does not prevent other small birds from entering.

Place the mesh close to the ground. This will prevent crows from crawling underneath. In addition, the mesh design makes it possible to tie up growing crops.

Use items that can scare off intrusive birds. Shiny things, CDs hanging from trees, and even the usual garden scarecrow are good at scaring pests.

Cover the fruit. Corn can be protected by hanging a cup or bag over each ear.

As intelligent creatures, crows quickly learn that even mylar balls are not a threat to them. Try to regularly change the location of these objects so that the birds do not have time to get used to and react to them all the same sharply.

Legend has it that if you make your hands stuffed with a hickory tree, it will better scare away intruders. If you put such a guard in the garden, try to change its location and equipment.

How to prevent crows

Ravens kill weak young chicks. Keep this in mind when building nest boxes: make sure that there is at least 10 cm from the inlet to the bottom of the box. Do not place any ledges or poles on which the crow could sit and wait for prey to appear.

Use feeders that are too small for crows but large enough for other birds.
