Heteroauxin: instructions for use of the drug
A good harvest is not possible if the plant has root problems. In order for flowers and trees to take root better, and cuttings to take root faster, gardeners use heteroauxin, the instructions for use of which are very simple.
Heteroauxin root growth stimulator: description, mechanism of action
Heteroauxin provides such an effect on plants:
- promotes rooting of cuttings;
- stimulates the growth of the aboveground part of crops;
- activates the formation of healthy rhizomes in plants;
- promotes more lush flowering;
- increases productivity fruit and berry bushes and trees;
- helps to heal wounds and cracks in the bark of trees;
- increases resistance to diseases, especially fungal;
- reanimates dying plants when used together with vitamins;
- ensures the growth of plants in unfavorable conditions, where a short growing season is possible.
The mechanism of action of the drug is that it quickly enters the cells and causes accelerated growth of the roots. This compound, in conditions without light, provokes the stretching of the cell membranes, due to which the suction surface of the roots increases, their growth is activated. Moreover, active root formation occurs when grown in nutritious soil and even when planted in a soil that is not the most suitable for a plant. In addition, it provides additional plant nutrition with macro and microelements.
If heteroauxin enters the intercellular space, then it causes accelerated cell division. For this reason, it activates the rooting of prepared cuttings.
Heteroauxin: instructions for use
This fertilizer can be used for fast rooting and growth stimulation bulbous crops, seedlings, seedlings of shrubs and trees. With its help, rooting of cuttings is much faster. The drug is used directly when planting crops, as well as transplanting them to another place for better survival.
The product is produced by Orton and Green-Belt companies in capsule and powder form. The mass of each capsule is 0.1 g. In powder form, the packaging is different: 1 kg, 100 g or 50 g.
Heteroauxin can be used to grow a variety of crops and flowers.
Heteroauxin for grape cuttings
The use of this fertilizer during cuttings ensures better tissue adhesion, ensures good survival of the material. For grapes, the stimulant is used more often in areas where the growing season is rather short and the climate is cool.
Apply it in the following way:
- A fertilizer solution is prepared by dissolving 1 tablet of the drug for every 5 liters of water. A grapevine stalk is lowered into it so that a third of it rises above the surface of the solution. There must be several "eyes" on the handle. Soak for 24 hours.
- If the cuttings have time to dry out, then when soaking, another 1 teaspoon of honey is added to the heteroauxin solution (5 l).
- After soaking, wax must be carried out. Paraffin is melted in hot water, the cutting is immersed first in this hot solution, and then immediately in cold water. A thin protective crust is obtained.Then the grape cuttings are sent for rooting.
If the goal is the best combination of the tissues of the rootstock and the scion, then the cut points of the material are moistened for a few seconds with a solution obtained from 1 liter of water and 10 tablets of the agent dissolved in it.
Heteroauxin for orchids and seedlings
The preparation is also suitable for the treatment of indoor flowers. It helps in breaking off stems and cutting off shoots. For preventive purposes, when transplanting flowers, the rhizome of orchids is dipped in a solution (1 tablet of fertilizer per 2 liters of water). The plant is kept so for an hour to protect it from rotting, powdery mildew, late blight. Broken branches are treated with the same solution.
If the orchid dies, then you can try to revive it with a solution of heteroauxin (1 tablet per 1 liter of water) with the addition of Zircon (1 drop), vitamin B (2 tablets). It is also good to mix 1 tablet of fungicide into this solution. After removing all rotten roots, the flower is dipped into the solution along the neck. This should be done in the evening so that the orchid stands in the dark at night. Then it is rooted.
For seedlings
Heteroauxin is suitable for the treatment of seedlings of fruit trees and any berry bushes. To process them, you need to completely dissolve 1 tablet in 5 liters of water. Immerse the stalk in it so that the liquid reaches only the root collar. Leave in the solution for about 2 hours, then the seedling is planted.
You can also mix a "chatterbox": dissolve 2 tablets of the agent in 10 liters of water, then add a clay-peat mixture (1: 1) until a creamy paste is obtained. The seedling is dipped to the root collar, after which it can be planted. Immediately water the plant with a solution of the drug with a concentration of 0.02%, 3-5 liters per seedling, depending on its size.
How to dilute heteroauxin
One of the disadvantages of the drug is its rather poor, slow solubility. If you have to regularly use small doses of the product in gardening, you can make it an alcohol tincture. Dissolve 2 tablets in 20 ml of alcohol. An alcoholic infusion of heteroauxin is stored in dark glass bottles.
The tablets dissolve poorly in cold water.
It is necessary to work with gloves, although the product is classified as slightly toxic:
- Crush the tablet into fine dust, pour into a small bottle.
- Measure 10 ml of alcohol (it is convenient to do this with a syringe).
- Fill the heteroauxin with alcohol, heat it by placing the bottle in a container with hot water (like a water bath).
- After complete dissolution of the product, take 1 ml of alcohol solution and combine with 1 liter of water.
Heteroauxin helps to grow and root many plants. It is effective in the resuscitation of orchids. The main thing is to use it according to the instructions, to observe all precautions.
