How to get rid of ants in the house - effective methods
If you have seen a couple of small insects in the kitchen at least once, know that soon the ants will firmly settle here. The question of how to get rid of ants in the house worries many. How to get rid of ants in the house: three safe and harmless ways
Gels and pencils, in principle, are also good products, but there is always a risk that the cat or child will decide to taste them.
Popular methods are no less effective, among which it is worth noting the use of:
- baits using boric acid;
- scaring away with garlic;
- scotch traps.
Boric acid bait
To prepare an ant treat, we need:
- a hard-boiled egg, or rather, only the yolk;
- 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- 2 sachets boric acid (10 g each).
Sugar can be replaced with any sweet product (honey, jam, jam, jam).
Mix all ingredients. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a couple of drops of water. The mass should turn out to be pliable: you need to roll small balls out of it. Place the balls in the places where the ants "trample", and they will die after eating them. And most importantly, the insects will bring the yolk and acid into the main anthill, poisoning its other inhabitants.
Garlic against ants
The essence of the method is simple: insects do not like the smell of garlic. If the specific aroma does not bother you, treat all the places where the ants climb with garlic. To do this, clean the cloves, grate them and wipe the baseboards and trash can with this mass.
Scotch traps
If the garden guests are still only scouting where you have the most "grain" places and have not had time to bring the entire colony, try sticky traps. There are special traps that can be purchased in the store, but why spend money? Take a piece of double-sided tape and stick it on the same baseboard, inside or near the dresser. Place something tasty in the center that will attract insects, such as a sugar cube or candy. Trying to get to them, the ants will stick.
