The cartridge filter is a container in which several ready-made dirt traps are installed. The construction is light, floats on the surface and can be stylized to resemble a natural object. The main condition is that the water pumped by the pump should have an inlet and an outlet located as far as possible from each other.
Pump for pool do it yourself looks like a polypropylene pipe 2-3 meters long with cleaning elements installed in the cavity. One installed cartridge with a diameter of 50 mm is enough to service a pool with a capacity of 300 m3 pump with a power of 25-30 watts. The cartridge is fixed in the hollow pipe using studs, plugs are placed on the ends and the hollow pipe floats on the surface. The filter is removed daily and washed with water.
In order to make a filter with a filler, you will need a polypropylene barrel with a wide backfill neck. The filler can be coarse sand, sulphonated coal or graphite chips. Condition - the material must be resistant to abrasion, neutral. The procedure for installing a sand filter:
- Place a container near the pool.
- Lower the supply hose to the bottom of the container with a water intake at the end, connect the free end to the pump to the supply connection through an additional filter that retains entrainment.
- A suction hose is mounted on top.
Before switching on, dilute the hoses as far as possible in the pool. The pump must have a power of 150 W, since work is being done to overcome the resistance. The filter is cleaned by counter-current flow of water with a drain in addition to the pool.
