Choosing the best pool for a summer residence
Many summer residents dream of installing a swimming pool on their site. Whether it's a place where you can swim on hot summer days, and around which you can equip a relaxation area with sun loungers, or just a children's pool, you need to choose the right size and type.
Suitable pool size
It is believed that for comfortable swimming, each person needs from 4 m2 water surface area. This figure may vary depending on the depth of the pool bowl. You also need to allocate space for the filter and pump, which occupy about 1 m2 bowl area.
It is of course possible to place the pump and filtration system outside the pool bowl. Then you will have to connect hoses and additional pumps to the filtration system, which will entail high costs.

Pools for summer cottages are:
- inflatable;
- frame;
- concrete.
Concrete swimming pools require large expenses for arrangement and maintenance. Their bowls can only be placed on plots over 10 acres. The advantage of such bowls is their service life. They are the most durable of all pool types.
Inflatable pools are mobile, and their installation and filling does not take much time. However, inflatable bowls have a number of disadvantages. The most important of these are small volume and short service life.
Inflatable pools do not have a water purification system, so it is not recommended to install them in your summer cottage if you have pets. In addition, a dog or cat can easily damage the inflatable bowl.
A frame pool will be an ideal option for plots of small areas. Its body is sheathed with a metal mesh, over which a waterproof film is stretched. The pool bowl is installed on supports, which ensures the stability of the structure.
A sand filter for water and a pump that can be installed outside the bowl is supplied with such a pool. These pools must be cleaned after two days of use.
The surface for installing the frame pool must be flat. The same rule applies to inflatable rubber bowls.
Despite the structural strength in comparison with inflatable pools, it is not recommended to jump from the side into the water.
The metal pipe will be able to support the weight of a person, but the service life of the pool will be significantly reduced, and the reinforcing mesh will fail.
