How to grow javanese moss on an aquarium padding polyester

javanese moss for aquarium Aquarists use Javanese moss for landscaping driftwood, sculptural and decorative elements. The plant quickly takes root, fixing itself with rhizoid suckers on a relief surface. The most suitable conditions for development are temperatures in the range of 18 - 28 degrees Celsius, moderate lighting. Usually, amateurs fix green bushes on the decor with fishing line or thread until they take root. But there is another simple way - with a padding polyester.

If a plant cut into pieces is planted on a synthetic winterizer, then you can get a decorative green canvas that is laid on the bottom of the aquarium or wrapped around the decor. It can also be cut into a curly element to decorate the ground.

What you need to plant javanese moss

To plant a plant, you will need the following equipment:

  • seedlings of Javanese moss;
  • plastic or wooden board;
  • a sharp knife or scissors;
  • Plastic container;
  • a piece of padding polyester;
  • fertilizer for aquarium plants.
  • spray;
  • aquarium or filtered water.

Step-by-step method of landing on a synthetic winterizer

Javanese moss is cut in the aquarium if it is large, or they get a bush in the store and propagate as follows:

  • fertilizer is diluted in a liter container with a spray bottle (half the recommended dose to avoid chemical burns);
  • a synthetic winterizer cut to the size of the container is laid out on the bottom of the plastic container;
  • the fabric is moistened with fertilizer diluted in a liter of water;
  • the greens are cut on a board with a knife or with scissors in small pieces;
  • laid on a wet synthetic winterizer in a thin layer;
  • the box is covered with a transparent lid or foil.

Under what conditions to grow Javanese moss

A container covered with a film or transparent lid is placed on a windowsill or under a fluorescent lamp.

For a plant to actively develop, it is necessary:

  • do not allow direct sunlight, otherwise the greens will die;
  • spray daily from a spray bottle;
  • maintain the temperature within 20 - 30 degrees.

The planting begins to grow in 14 - 20 days. An even green layer forms on the padding polyester after about two months. After that, it can be placed in aquarium to a permanent place of growth.
