  • the water is carefully drained;
  • rinsed thoroughly several times under the tap;
  • poured into a saucepan;
  • add 2.5 tbsp. liquid (you can milk);
  • salt;
  • bring to a boil, and then reduce the heat;
  • cover with a lid;
  • simmer for about 15-20 minutes.

Culinary experts advise stirring the mass periodically, as it loves to stick to hot dishes. In a quarter of an hour, the grains will absorb water and acquire a viscous consistency.

However, few people know that if the cereal is not interfered with after boiling, then it will never burn. This secret is widely known in the Caucasus. Nevertheless, in this matter, observation is needed, as well as a well-developed intuitive feeling.

Then the dish is laid out in portioned plates. A teaspoon of healthy coconut oil is added to each of them. Stir thoroughly to melt. To give it an original sweetness, the hostesses bring honey or some kind of syrup. If desired, you can dilute the thick amaranth porridge with tender almond milk. It will enhance the nutty flavor of the treat and also make it thinner. At the end, the unsightly surface is decorated with tasty treats.
