Compilation of compound feed for chickens of egg breeds

feeding chickens In order to increase the egg production of laying hens, you need to provide them with a good diet. From the first days after the birth of chickens, the main part of their diet is compound feed. Most poultry farmers use ready-made "starter" compound feed purchased from a wholesale store. The cost of such a diet is lower than that of the compound feed of our own production, but industrial feed is not always correctly balanced.

Due to poor-quality compound feed, the egg production of chickens drops significantly. If you give an unbalanced feed to chickens, then in the future there is a high probability of molting, egg-laying occurs later, and the immunity of laying hens will be weaker. Therefore, poultry farmers produce "starter" compound feed on their own.

Chickens are fed with "starting" compound feed from 0 to 21 days. Then they are transferred to another diet. On average, a laying hen reaches sexual maturity at 115 days of age. During this time, you need to change six rations. From the moment the chicken laid the first egg, its diet is changed twice a year: in winter and summer.

Composition of compound feed

The composition of the feed for chickens includes more than 10 components. The food base should contain 22% protein, 10% fat and 68% carbohydrates. In order to avoid feather loss, fodder sulfur and premix should be added to the feed for young chickens. Millet and wheat will become the basis for the feed. As additives you can use:

  • peas;
  • herbal flour;
  • meat and bone or fish meal;
  • sunflower meal;
  • ground corn;
  • edible salt.

For good assimilation of compound feed, fine gravel or shale is added to its composition. Also, the composition of feed for small chickens must necessarily include fusa - the sediment from unrefined sunflower oil. The share of fusa in compound feed is no more than 1%.

The slate will help the chickens grind the grain. Thanks to the pebbles, the chicken's stomach will stretch, which will allow it to digest any food. If the chicks' stomachs are not stretched, they will eat less and gain less weight.

Fuza has a beneficial effect on the intestinal tract of the chicken, prevents the formation of liquid droppings in young animals. In addition, fuza binds particles of grass and meat and bone meal. Flour dust does not settle on the bird's palate, so chickens do not sneeze.

Table salt is added as a flavor enhancer in a proportion of 1 g per 1 kg of feed. So that the chickens do not have indigestion, the proportion of peas in the compound feed should be no more than 10%. Meat and bone meal is added in a proportion of 40 g per 1 kg of feed. Wheat and millet in a grain mixture - 25% of each component. Sunflower meal and ground corn are added 15% each. The share of herbal flour is 5%.
