Why do you need to mulch roses in the garden?

Mulching is used by many gardeners to cover the soil during the fall. Any material can be used as mulch. Rose bush care jobs include:

Therefore, all the leaves and shoots of the rose are burned. In order to reduce the risk of infection with fungal diseases in the future, it is necessary to remove all the petals of wilted flowers. These petals are also burned.

Rose bush mulching

In order to fertilize the rose bush during flowering, you can mulch it with coniferous sawdust mixed with humus and potash fertilizers. Potash fertilizers are essential for good flowering.

The mulch is laid in a layer approximately 2-3 cm thick. During watering, nutrients will gradually enter the soil. Thanks to this, the flowering will be abundant.

The main reason for decay of the root system is an excess of moisture. The mulch will retain moisture. Watering can be significantly reduced. Bushes with mulched shoots will not rot.
