Cleaning home wine with chemicals
Many gardeners process the berry harvest into wine. Fruit-berry wine is often cloudy. This wine is unpleasant to drink because of the sediment, so the drink is defended. Properties of the drug and its use in industry
"Separit" acts as a sorbent, attracting small particles of pulp and yeast left in the wine after ripening. Therefore red wine becomes transparent.
White wine can oxidize during storage. Separit also attracts wine oxides. After cleaning, the white wine will acquire a natural rich color.
The advantage of Separit is that it completely precipitates within three days after the start of wine clarification. The sediment must be carefully drained and the wine will be ready to drink.
The use of this drug does not affect the taste of a natural drink. When the drug reacts with sweeteners, the precipitate becomes poisonous yellow. Therefore, in Germany and England, this tool is used when checking industrial wine for the presence of prohibited components, for example, aspartame.
Use of the drug at home
In Separit stores it is sold in sachets of 50 g and 100 g of the active substance. This amount of the preparation is calculated for 50 liters and 100 liters of finished wine, respectively. Calculate the required amount of "Separite" based on the volume of wine you want to clarify. For clarification you need:
- pour one part of the drug with five parts of warm water;
- leave Separit to swell for 6-8 hours;
- add five more parts of water and pour the solution into the wine;
- stir well and leave in a warm room for three days, then clear the wine from sediment.
It is not necessary to increase the dose of the drug, otherwise clay particles may remain in the wine. Better to meet the deadline. The sludge cannot be used in other drinks, but it can make a good potash fertilizer.
After clarification, your wine will be crystal clear. The drink will not lose its strength and will not change its taste. It will decorate any festive table.
