Incorrect temperature conditions

Keep the lamp on for the first two weeks so that the chickens eat around the clock and gain weight faster.

Lack of vitamin D

Lack of sunlight can also make broilers weak. Vitamin D is not produced in partial shade. Due to lack of it, broilers become lethargic. The chick's muscle mass gradually decreases, and it begins to fall to its feet.

To normalize vitamin D levels, drive your chickens outside.

Lack of calcium

If increasing daylight hours does not help and broilers continue to fall to their feet, add meat and bone meal or eggshells to their feed. Lack of calcium provoke the development of rickets in chickens. If you find rickets in broilers, feed them grain soaked in fish or meat broth for 15-20 days. This diet will help broilers build muscle. Mix in compound feed grated boiled eggs. Two or three eggs are enough for 40 broilers.

Lack of green food and activity

Weakness in chickens can be caused by an unbalanced diet and lack of activity. Broilers should be regularly fed green food such as mustard, nettle, garlic or meadow grass. The presence of green feed in the diet of chickens radically changes the taste of meat, it becomes more saturated. In addition, the herb contains the necessary potassium and magnesium. Thanks to green feed, chickens increase their immunity to viral diseases.

In a spacious enclosure, broilers will move more. If the enclosure is fenced in with a net, regularly expel the chickens outside.
