Can you please tell me a recipe in which there is pumpkin, jam with lemon and orange, it seems, if I'm not mistaken. Recently we were visiting friends, where they served us pumpkin jam for tea, very tasty. It seemed to me that there were citrus fruits in it, but I forgot to ask. How to do it?

Cooking will take about three hours on the strength, this is together with the peeling-slicing of pumpkin and fruits, so let's proceed:

  1. Peel the pumpkin and inner fibers with seeds. We need no more than 1 kg, so if your fruit is large, cut it off. By the way, sunflower seeds do not throw them away - they can be dried and fried in a pan. It will be very tasty and healthy (raw ones are even healthier, although not so tasty). Cut the pumpkin into small wedges, the shape is not important, but they should not be very thick.
  2. Pour boiling water over one large lemon, cut it into rings or half rings. Choose seeds.
  3. Do the same with 0.5 oranges.
  4. Pour 1 tbsp into a saucepan. water, add 1 kg of sugar and let it completely dissolve over low heat.
  5. Now place the citrus pumpkin in the syrup and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

The cooled jam is ready to eat. If you want to make it in reserve - in a hot form immediately from the pan, put it in jars and seal it tightly.

You will need:

  • 2 pieces of lemon and orange;
  • 1200 g sugar;
  • 2 kg pumpkin.

As always, peel and cut the pumpkin, but in this case it is better to cut into small cubes. Dice the citrus fruits too, along with the zest, taking out only the seeds. Now cover everything with sugar and leave it overnight to make the juice stand out. In the morning, put on the stove and boil until the desired density. Everything, thick jam or even jam is ready, you can roll it up or just close it with a nylon lid. In the latter case, store the jars in the refrigerator.
