Growing peach bellflower seeds from seeds is quite simple, as is the care of the plant itself. It is unpretentious, grows well in gardens and on a plot near the house, delighting with its romantic and delicate flowers. The bell grows well in the middle lane, has a large distribution area, including a significant part of Europe.
Description of the plant
The decorative value is represented by beautiful bell-shaped flowers. Usually they are 3-8 pieces collected in a brush, the corolla is up to 4 cm. The cups are small, short. The description of the color of the peach bell depends on the variety.
They can be:
- white;
- lilac;
- violet blue.
The flowering period lasts about a month, June-July. After its completion, seed pods are formed on the plant, which can be used for further breeding.
The seeds of the variety you like can be purchased at a specialized store or collected by yourself.
Preparatory activities
The planting site should be well lit. The best option is a hill on which there can be no stagnation of moisture.
If there is no elevation on the site, it can be created artificially.
The soil should be neutral or slightly acidic. A month before planting, the following is applied for each 1 m²:

After most of the sprouts have appeared, the film is removed. Further care includes regular soil moisture and gentle loosening substrate.
Seedling picking
Growing a peach-leaved bell, half a month after sprouting, requires picking. It is carried out after the first leaves have appeared on the sprouts.
With the picking, it is impossible to delay, since with the growth of the root system, transplanting will be too traumatic for the plant. It can affect adjacent shoots in a common container, with which the shoots are interwoven with roots during growth. Plants are planted either in separate containers, or in a common one, but after a sufficiently large distance - from 0.1 m.
The danger of a late pick is a high probability of death of some of the seedlings.
The peach-leaved bell, which is obtained when grown from seeds through seedlings, can be transplanted into open ground when the weather is warm. Those seeds that were immediately planted in open ground grow more slowly and bloom later.
