Creating a fragrant garden with your own hands is not at all difficult
If you want your garden to have a sweet smell of flowers not only in May, but throughout the season, you need to prepare for this in advance. Fruit trees in any case will be fragrant and bloom, having a strong enough smell. But other perennial and annual flowers, trees and shrubs must be planted in advance. Chubushnik, lilac and rosehip
You don't have to chase the famous varieties and rely on the usual ones. They will create a spring mood in the garden and will smell good.
Lilac should be selected for practical reasons, its varieties differ in color, smell and flowering period. For example, Hungarian and Amur lilacs bloom much later, so you can use these varieties to keep your garden fragrant longer. If you like strong, intense scents, we recommend trying the Persian Lilac.
Rose hips begin their flowering period at the same time. Thigh-leaved roses have a strong, pronounced aroma. If you want a softer look, choose Wrinkled Rose. Peonies, daffodils, honeysuckle
Together with lilacs, daffodils begin to bloom. Their aroma is quite specific and not everyone likes it because of its harshness. However, in combination with other plants, daffodils are perceived more harmoniously.

At the beginning of June, it's time for peonies. As with roses, peonies smell and bloom differently depending on the variety. The earliest are tree peonies. Just a few flowers are capable of exuding a strong scent over a large area. Together with the tree peony, the species peony begins to bloom. This variety does not have a strong odor, most often it is characterized by a weak pleasant aroma. The last in the three peonies are Herbaceous.

Clematis

Annuals
July is the time for the blooming of annuals that were sown in the spring. The most famous among them are musky cornflower, petunia, phacelia, mignonette and scented tobacco. Shabo carnation and nasturtium have a delicate mild aroma, therefore they are universal. Smell marigolds felt in the evening. By the way, these plants are recommended to be planted throughout the site, they help to resist pests.
In addition to the famous, ubiquitous annuals, there are varieties that only experienced gardeners know about:
- Aspera blue has a pleasant and delicate lavender scent;
- Brachicoma Iberisoliferous has a very spectacular flowering phase with lush blue-white daisies;
- Arabian cladantus appeared relatively recently and has yellow chamomile flowers and beautiful leaf shape;
- Chinese forget-me-not with bright blue flowers;
- Leia is graceful;

The list can be continued for a very long time, the choice is really extensive.
Herbaceous perennials
Herbaceous perennials will maintain the flavor of your garden from mid-July to fall. These include geranium, lavender, May lily of the valley, and paniculate phlox.
Ornamental shrubs also have a long flowering period, however, some of them, for example, wolfberry and silver elk, should be planted with care.
The key to a spectacular garden is the harmony between the exterior and the spectrum of aromas that fill your site. Find varieties of flowers and shrubs that won't irritate you with strong odors. If one of them does not work, then try a hybrid - it will have different properties.
