Pigs
The most common way to give Alben to piglets is the group method. Together with the prepared food, a crushed anthelmintic is introduced. The dosage is calculated according to the scheme: for every 35 kg of animal weight, 1 tablet is crushed. The prepared mass is poured into the trough and the pigs have free access to food. Usually one piglet at a time eats up to 150-200 g of the resulting compound feed.
Experimental deworming is carried out on several individuals (5-10). If the event was successful and after 3 days complications did not appear, they begin to treat the entire livestock.
Dogs
The drug is administered orally. The active ingredients are absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, and then enter all other tissues. The products of albendazole synthesis are excreted from the body through urine and feces.
Alben dosage for dogs and cats depends on their weight:
- individuals up to 2.5 kg: 1 ml of the prepared suspension per 0.5 kg of body weight;
- pets over 2.5 kg: 1 tab. for every 5 kg.
It is best to give veterinary medication in the morning while feeding. The crushed powder is mixed with a small amount of food.
Recipe for preparing a solution for small animals. A systemic anthelmintic tablet is diluted in 10 ml of liquid. Shake thoroughly and immediately inject to the pet. In addition to medicinal purposes, veterinarians recommend using Alben as a prophylaxis. The event is held every 3 months. The therapeutic dosage is preferred.
It is forbidden to give pills to lactating and pregnant females. This anthelmintic agent is contraindicated for puppies under 3 weeks old and kittens up to 3 months old.
Rabbits
The procedure for using the veterinary medicine for fur animals is somewhat different. For 1 kg of animal weight, give up to 15 mg of powder composition. Thus, the dosage of Alben tablets for rabbits is 1 tab. per 25 kg of individual weight. The duration of therapy in such cases lasts up to 2 days. Once a day, the specified dose is given to the pet on the root of the tongue or administered in a crushed form into the feed. Then the calculation of feed for each head will be 50-100 g.
It is forbidden to use an antiparasitic agent during the mating season of fur-bearing animals, as well as in acute fascioliasis. It is not allowed to give it to pregnant females in the first half of the term.
Cattle
In this case, a powerful anthelmintic is used as a feed additive. The dosage is 7.5 mg per kg of cooked food. So, it turns out for every 50 kg of animal weight, 1 tablet is given.
An increase in the dose to 10 mg / kg is carried out upon detection of:
- fascioliasis;
- paramphistomatosis;
- dicroceliosis;
- ostertagiosis.
As a result, 35 kg of body weight of the animal accounts for 1 table. albendazole. If the slaughter of an animal is required earlier than 2 weeks later, then such meat is used as feed for carnivorous animals. In addition, such carcasses are sent to the production of meat and bone meal.
Drinking milk is allowed only 4 days after the end of deworming.
