The drug is a solution that is a balanced vitamin complex. As the instructions for the use of Eleovit in veterinary medicine show, the concentrate for injection is used in the treatment or prevention of hypovitaminosis, as well as diseases caused by a lack of nutrients in the body. In addition, it is often included in therapy (as an adjunct) in the fight against dermatitis or catarrhal inflammation of the mucous membrane. Its constituent components contribute to better performance and livelihoods of farm animals.
Pharmacological description of the drug
Sterile solution is released in glass vials (darkened) with a capacity (ml):

The vial has a rubber stopper, protected by an aluminum cap. Each product unit is supplied with instructions for the use of Eleovit in veterinary medicine with prescribed dosages.
The combined vitamin preparation has an immunostimulating effect. The active substances in it are the following vitamins (in 1 ml):
- A (retinol) - 10 thousand IU;
- D₃ (viosterolol) - 2 thousand IU;
- E (alpha-tocopherol) 10 mg
- group B - up to 18 mg;
- nicotinamide - 30 mg;
- folic (B9) and pantothenic (B5) acids - about 20.2 mg.
The listed biological substances are indispensable in the functioning of the immune system, as well as in metabolic processes and metabolism. For example, Vitamin A is responsible for the regeneration and functioning of the epithelium, which increases the body's defenses. At the same time, tocopherol acts as a potent antioxidant that regulates oxidation and reduction processes. B vitamins normalize the activity of the nervous system and metabolism. But viosterolol is known for its antirachitic properties, as it promotes better absorption of calcium and phosphorus.
In this regard, vitamins for cattle in injections, as well as for other livestock are given when fighting:
- tetany;
- rickets;
- toxic liver dystrophy;
- skin ulcers;
- xerophthalmia;
- dermatitis;
- poorly healing open wounds;
- avitaminosis;
- inflammation of the mucous membrane.
The vitamin product increases the fertility of the livestock. Moreover, the solution is suitable for pregnant sows. The animals are injected with the concentrate 45-60 days before farrowing. Eleovit is also attributed to cows. Cattle are given vitamins 3-4 months before calving.
For prevention purposes, multivitamin is effective during intense stress on animals, or under severe stress. Together with this, the drug is often used when young animals are lagging behind in growth and development. Instructions for the use of Eleovit in veterinary medicine: general provisions and dosages
As a preventive measure, the vitamin solution is injected under the skin or intramuscularly to farm animals. Recommended course: 1 time every 2-3 weeks.The injection is done in the thighs or neck. To prevent the substance from leaking out during the injection, the skin is slightly shifted to the side.
Conducting a course of medical therapy, the agent is used in such dosages (ml / day):
- Cattle: 5-6, young animals (6-12 months) - 2-3;
- for pigs: 2, but for weaners, suckers and newborns - 1.5, 1 and 0.5 (respectively);
- horses: 3-5, stallions - 2-3;
- goats/ sheep: 1-2.
Before injecting Eleovit piglets, it is imperative to check whether each individual individual has an individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. When an allergic reaction (rash, irritation, swelling) occurs, treatment is stopped. Then antihistamines are prescribed in combination with drugs corresponding to the symptoms of the disease. At the same time, the fortified solution is perfectly combined with other medicines, including all kinds of feed additives.
Nevertheless, in parallel with its use, a balanced diet of elements such as:
- magnesium;
- calcium;
- phosphorus;
- microelements.
Therapeutic efficacy is reduced if one dose is missed. If this happens, the course is restored using the same dosage and regimen.
It is worth noting that during the treatment / prophylaxis, no side effects or serious complications were identified. However, a significant reddening of the skin (discoloration) was observed at the injection site. For chickens and dogs

How about turtles?

- adults: 0.8 ml of concentrate per 1 kg of weight;
- young animals - 0.05 ml.
The therapeutic course in such cases is reduced to 1-2 injections with an interval of 2-3 weeks. An injection up to 2 mm deep is made into the gluteal region, between the tail and paw. The area is lightly massaged, but not treated. When a seal appears, they do not panic, it will pass over time.
Features of storage and use
The rules for working with the solution are standard. Do not smoke, drink or eat during the injection. After the procedure, be sure to wash your hands with soap and water. If the concentrate gets into the eyes / mucous membrane, the affected area is thoroughly washed with running water.
