How can a lazy man grow a lawn in the country with his own hands without weeds?

Good day! Tired of messing around in the country with the beds of potatoes and cucumbers. I decided to sow the plot with a beautiful lawn in order to just rest in the country, and not work hard. Therefore, the question arose - how can a lazy man grow a lawn in the country with his own hands without weeds? Are there any tricks and pitfalls here that you should know about in advance?

The problem is quite urgent. Still, a beautiful lawn is the dream of many owners of private houses. But to get such a decoration for a summer cottage, you will have to seriously fight. Yes, not to work, but to fight - the enemy must be destroyed completely and completely ruthlessly. It is enough to overlook some trifle for the lawn grass to be crushed by the weed. So, let's begin.

Land preparation

Preparation should be started in advance, preferably six months before planting lawn grass seeds. This is best done in August or early September.

Delineate the boundaries of the future lawn and, having chosen a cloudless day (it is advisable that no rain is promised in the following days), treat the area with suitable herbicides. Tornado and Agrokiller have proven themselves quite well. They are capable of destroying all vegetation, so use them with extreme care, not forgetting about protective equipment.

Herbicides

After 2-3 days, the plants begin to turn yellow and dry, and after 5-7 they completely die off. The site can be dug up and the stems of dead plants can be removed.

After that, wait a month - the weed seeds remaining in the ground will germinate. Repeat the punitive action, destroying the remnants. Dig the ground again, removing the remains of the weeds. Leave the site until next year - in mid-April-May (depending on the region and the weather in a particular year) you can continue working. During this time, the herbicides are completely neutralized.

Young weed control

Fresh lawn grass will delight you with its purity and beauty for a short time. Alas, the ubiquitous weeds will still be on the lawn. They can be brought in by the wind, or they simply remain from last year, not completely destroyed by herbicides. Of course, they will seriously spoil the appearance of the lawn.

Weeds on the lawn

You will have to fight with them seriously. Fortunately, the process isn't overly complicated. It is recommended to mow the lawn once every one to two weeks. During this time, the grass has time to grow to a decent height, but the weeds only throw out the first leaves and stems. Therefore, they will simply be cut along with the lawn grass. Yes, they will grow back. But all summer they will grow only a few centimeters, and the winter frosts will finish them off completely. The most important thing here is not to let them grow enough to throw out the arrow and re-seed your lawn with fresh seed. Otherwise, the fight will become much more difficult. So, in the first year, regularly cutting the grass is not only a matter of beauty, but also the safety of the lawn.

Surgical work

Unfortunately, even in the coming years, the weeds will make themselves felt. For example, the ubiquitous dandelion. Its seeds are carried by the wind for many kilometers, and it is impossible to protect oneself from them.

Here you will have to work exclusively by hand and very carefully. You need to remove the entire root - leave the shoot and get a new weed in two weeks. It is best to do this after the rains, when the ground is thoroughly wet. If there is no rain, a special root remover should be used.

Root remover

With its help, you can gently stir up the ground under the lawn, practically without harming the grass itself, and it is easy to extract the weed along with the root.

Of course, keeping a lawn in perfect condition is not easy. But its beautiful appearance fully compensates for all the costs of time and effort.
