Boiler piping

boiler piping Often the boiler piping is made non-separable. A boiler with such a strapping functions normally, but repair work, in the event of equipment failure, cannot be done without completely dismantling the strapping.

Non-dismountable strapping

A check valve is immediately connected to the cold water pipe, followed by a shut-off valve. A shut-off valve and an adapter for polypropylene or metal-plastic pipes are installed on the hot water supply pipe. It will not work to drain the water from the boiler with such a piping, since the check valve only lets cold water into the tank, and the hot water pipe reaches the very top of the boiler. The water level in the tank will drop by 5-10% if you try to drain it through the hot water stopcock. In order to drain the water completely, you will have to cut off part of the pipe. To avoid difficulties when draining water and cleaning boiler you need to apply strapping using American women and a tee.

Dismountable boiler piping

Cold and hot water pipes are connected to the boiler with the help of American women. A shut-off valve, an adapter and a pipe of the water supply system are connected to the American outlet for hot water. A polypropylene tee is connected to the outlet for cold water after the American. From the bottom of the tee, an adapter is screwed from an internal thread to an external one. Next, a check valve and a shut-off valve are installed. After the stopcock, a cold water supply pipe is installed. Another shut-off valve is installed on the central water supply pipe. A shut-off valve and a hose for draining water from the boiler are installed on the side of the tee.

The convenience of such a system lies in the fact that you can drain the water by closing the water access to the pipes and opening the drain valve. If you slightly unscrew the American hot pipe, then the air entering the boiler will displace the water, and it will merge faster. If you need to remove the boiler to clean it, you still have the option of using cold water. Just close the shut-off valve of the central water supply system and the valve installed near the check valve. Then drain the water from the boiler and remove it. Then open the shut-off valve of the central water supply system.

Such a piping system is designed for a boiler with a volume of up to 80 liters.

Any liquid, when heated, expands, and the pressure in the tank increases. The boiler may crack if the pressure is too high. In order to reduce the pressure, an expansion tank is installed. For a boiler with a volume of 80 to 200 liters, an expansion tank with a volume of 12 liters is enough.
