Fitolavin is produced by the Russian company Pharmbiomedservice. Initially, the drug was marketed as Fitolavin 300. Today it has been discontinued and replaced by the water-soluble concentrate Fitolavin VRK, which has an identical composition.
The agent for indoor plants is available in the form of ampoules with a volume of 2 ml, for the garden and vegetable garden in bottles of 50-400 ml, for agricultural fields in cans of 5 liters.
Appointment of the fungicide Fitolavin
Phytolavin is an effective herbal antibiotic that is used both for treatment and prevention of fungal and other diseases that harm crops. It has antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial effect on vegetables, cereals, fruits and berries and ornamental crops.
The main indications for the use of the fungicide Fitolavin:
- Cucumbers - blackleg, bacterial and root rot, bacterial wilting, angular foliage.
- Tomatoes - black bacterial spot, Alternaria, bacterial wilting, basal, root, apical rot.
- Winter wheat, barley - black, basal bacteriosis, root rot.
- Potatoes - Fusarium, Alternaria.
- Vegetable seedlings - black leg.
The use of Fitolavin is recommended for the treatment of bacterial cancer, moniliosis, necrosis of the stem and its core, as well as bacterial burns.
Instructions for use of Fitolavin
Fungicide Fitolavin, produced in the form of a water-soluble concentrate, can be used in several ways - for spraying, root moistening and drip irrigation.
Instructions for use Phytolavin for plants recommends using it for pre-soaking seed and tubers before planting. Thanks to several forms of release, the fungicide can be used to treat both indoor plants and large garden plots and vegetable gardens.
Phytolavin can be used at any stage of plant growth, from preventive seed treatment to the harvesting period. But the manufacturer recommends to carry out no more than 4-5 treatments for the entire season, since over time, pathogenic microorganisms can develop addiction to the drug.
For the treatment and prevention of fungal and other diseases, a working solution with a concentration of 0.2% is prepared. To do this, 20 ml of fungicide must be mixed with 10 liters of clean water. The method of application and the rate of the working solution depend on the specific plant species.
For cucumbers and tomatoes
Fitolavin can be applied to cucumbers in a variety of ways.:
- Seedlings - one-time preventive watering in the root zone. For this, 12-15 liters per 100 sq. m.
- Root system diseases. The first treatment is carried out 7-12 days after planting in open ground. The second procedure is carried out 21 days after the first procedure at a dosage of 30 liters per 100 sq. m.
- A similar dosage is used for processing tomatoes.
When processing cucumbers with Phytolavin, it is necessary to pour at least 100 ml of solution under each bush, for seedlings the dosage is reduced to 40-50 ml.
For ground tomatoes, fungicide treatment is carried out twice with an interval of 15 days, the rate of the product is 10 liters per 100 sq. m.
Pumpkin and melons
For processing pumpkin Fitolavin solution is used at a concentration of 20 ml per 10 liters of water. Spraying of plants can be carried out after the appearance of the first 3-4 leaves, pouring 50 ml of solution under each bush.
After 15-20 days, repeated treatment with Fitolavin is carried out. The amount of solution is already increasing to 100 ml for each plant. Preventive spraying with fungicide can be carried out no more than 5 times per season.
For orchids
Phytolavin for orchids and other indoor plants is most often used to treat and prevent bacteriosis. For this, the soil in a flower pot is watered with a solution, the leaves and stems of the plant are sprayed.
The recommended rate of Fitolavin is 100-120 ml for small indoor plants and 200-220 ml for large, tree-like flowers. Fungicide treatment can be carried out no more than 2 times a month.
For potatoes
Fitolavin is used for pre-soaking potato tubers before planting. For this, a standard working solution is prepared from 10 ml of the drug per 5 liters of water. Pour the tubers with this solution and leave for 30-40 minutes. Eggplants, tomatoes and cucumbers are processed in the same way.
In case of damage to potatoes with rot, black leg and other diseases, the dosage of Fitolavin is increased to 25 ml per 5 liters of water. The working solution is used for spraying plants. For each bush, at least 100 ml of solution is required.
Fruit trees and shrubs
The processing of apple trees and other fruit trees is carried out in several stages.:
- budding period;
- at the beginning of the flowering stage;
- the formation of ovaries and the formation of small fruits 4-5 cm in size.
To prepare the solution, a dosage of 10-25 ml per 10 liters of clean water is used. One tree will need 4-5 liters of solution, or 8-12 liters per 100 sq. m.
Also fungicide Fitolavin is used for fruit and berry bushes. Spraying with working solution is carried out twice, in April, with a break of 15-20 days. Each bush requires 1.5-2 liters of Fitolavin solution.
Precautions for use
When using the fungicide Fitolavin, standard safety measures must be followed. All treatments are carried out using rubber gloves, goggles and a respirator. If the solution comes into contact with open skin areas, they should be immediately washed with plenty of running water.
Phytolavin can have toxic effects on bees - most often up to 12 hours after spraying. Therefore, the drug should not be used nearby apiaries, rivers and other bodies of water. The fungicide belongs to the drugs of the 3rd class of toxicity and can cause allergic reactions.
