Do-it-yourself foundation for an extension
To develop the foundation of the extension, it is necessary to use the following materials: reinforcement, concrete, deduction of the footage using working tools in the form of shovels, polyethylene film, a stapler, and a correctly calculated amount of concrete.
The first stage of building the foundation of the extension
First, you need to dig a trench with two shovels to form the formwork of the future foundation device for the extension. This trench must be dug and level with the depth foundation of the house... So that the foundation of the house and the foundation of the extension are at the same depth. The depth was at the top of the formwork - 73 cm.
Second stage of construction
After the trench has been dug and measured, it is necessary to fix the film to the board from the inside of the formwork. For this we use ordinary plastic wrap with a density of 120 microns. To secure it, we need a powerful stapler.
Stage three
Then we make a frame from reinforcement with a diameter of 10 mm according to a specific template from wooden boards:
- to knit the frame, we drill a hole for the reinforcement, take a little more than the diameter of the reinforcement measuring 24x30 cm;
- we will use the reinforcement to connect the reinforcement bars, and we will use it visually only with a diameter of 3 mm;
- the finished frame will consist of two parts, we connect them together and mount;
- we lay out the frame in a trench and connect with each other, then pouring concrete;
- bend the cut reinforcement of the required size in the corners from the bottom, and then on top;
- at T-shaped intersections, we connect the frame with metal brackets from above and below.
Our fittings are laid, the frames are tied. You can also raise the frame to make a protective layer. You can do nothing near the wall, the foundation will just go into the joint. For this pouring it takes about 3.1 cubic meters of concrete, which we evenly distribute with the second shovel.
Therefore, if at home you decide to try to make the foundation of the extension, you must make sure to calculate the materials (use high-quality ones), place for the foundation, and have the necessary construction tools. This is necessary so that the structure will serve you for more than one year, and you can place something in it.
