carrot juice Among the conservation reserves, every housewife will definitely have at least a few jars of juice. What kind of juice it will be depends on your culinary preference. Absolutely all juices are useful because they contain natural vitamins. And closing carrot juice for the winter at home is within the power of everyone, because there are no particular difficulties in this.

Preservation methods

natural juice

Carrot juice can be preserved in the following ways:

  1. Hot spill.
  2. Pasteurization (or sterilization).

When using the hot pouring method, heat the juice well, strain and re-put on fire. After the juice boils, let it boil for a couple of minutes, pour into pre-sterilized glass containers and roll up. Turn over and wrap the juice cans.

The pasteurization method differs in that the carrot juice should not be allowed to boil - it is only heated, and 2 times. After the first heating, the juice is allowed to cool down. And after the second one, pour it into the jars to the very top, so that no void remains under the lid, and sterilize for 20 minutes.

Delicious carrot juice for the winter at home will only work when you use fresh, ripe (not overripe) vegetables. The fruits should not contain traces of damage by pests and cracks. Wash the carrots well, peel and remove the hard part.

To make carrot juice use:

  • a meat grinder (you will have to make physical efforts and allocate time);
  • a mechanical juicer (the juice extraction process is also manual, but not so long and it is much easier to twist a juicer than a meat grinder);
  • an electric juicer (the dream of the hostess, since she only has to put vegetables, the rest will be done by the device).
