Flower ladder: how to make it yourself

Assembling a decorative staircase is not that difficult. It can be built not only by people with woodworking skills, but even untrained adolescents and women. You just need to familiarize yourself with the safety requirements when working with the tools selected for this purpose.

To make a ladder for flowers with your own hands, you first need to determine a permanent place and approximate dimensions for it. And then think a little and prepare the source material. Since this is still a decorative element, it is not worth making a fully functional model. Therefore, apart from metal corners, nails and screws, no other accessories are required. This is, one might say, a simplified version of the ladder.

Manufacturing steps:

1. Draw a sketch on paper. Calculate the desired dimensions of the entire product, its dimensions. Determine the length of the side boards and shelves. All parts, edges and corners are rounded and sanded.
2. For two side boards, the lower bases are cut at a certain angle.On which the slope of the finished product will depend.
3. On the inside of the side boards, the positions of the intended shelves are marked. Make slots, place them parallel to the sawn-off bases. The distance between them should be at least 30 cm. It will be quite compact. If the plants are planned to be placed on high shelves, the distance between them should be increased.
4. Prepare two racks, equal in length to the height of the stairs, attach them to the top of the product. It is worth fixing with corners for reliability. The lower part of the racks and bases is connected with slats, crosswise.

It is quite simple to calculate the width of the shelves or steps. It should be 10 cm larger than the diameter of the largest flower pot. The length of the step is equal to the inner distance between the side boards, to which you need to add twice the depth of the cut made.

It is impossible to glue the wooden parts of the ladder, since the finished product will be unreliable. And under the weight pots with plants will collapse very quickly.

Ladder wooden flower stand can be varnished or painted with oil paint. It will fit perfectly into the environment of the chosen room.

Guardrails can be glued to the edges of the shelves. They will not allow the pots to slide off if someone accidentally touches or pushes the ladder.
